FAQ

Fat Santa Paytable FAQ: Every Slot Symbol at a 0.50 Bet

In short: Fat Santa is a 50-line Push Gaming slot whose paytable tops out at 20 times the total bet for five elves on one line, a prize it also lists for five Fat Santas.

At the demo's default 0.50 stake the prizes run from 10.00 for five Santas down to 0.08 for three of the smallest baubles. The two kinds of Christmas Pie sit on the reels as wilds and have no prize of their own.

Fat Santa's Symbol Payouts at 0.50

Five Fat Santas or five elves pay 10.00 at the default 0.50 bet, and every other prize steps down from there. The screen heads the table with "All wins shown are in fun and valid for the current bet of 0.50 fun". Each paying symbol gets a five, a four and a three. Nothing pays for two.

One oddity, and the client doesn't resolve it. The table prints a five-Santa prize, yet in the base game Fat Santa lands only on reel 1. The client's language file also carries a variant line: "Fat Santa Symbol payouts are available only during the Free Games Feature". So the payout exists on the paytable. How a line of five Santas forms is not explained on any screen we read. Five elves pay the same 10.00 and face no such limit.

Prizes as Multiples of the Bet

Divided by the 0.50 stake, the table becomes multiples that hold at any bet. Five of a kind runs from 20x for Santa or the elf down to 1.6x for the lime and green baubles.

Red, orange bauble2x0.8x0.2x
Lime, green bauble1.6x0.6x0.16x

Every three-of-a-kind row sits below 1x. On one line, the best three can do is 0.40 on a 0.50 stake. A single line covers the stake only with four presents or better, or with five of any bauble.

The jump from four to five is steep at the top: fivefold for Santa, the elf and the snowman, 5.33 times for the reindeer. For the baubles it is only 2.5 to 2.67 times.

We do not recommend reading a lone three-of-a-kind celebration as a win. In our 96 spins, 23 paid something, and the multiples above demonstrate that a paying spin and a profitable spin are fundamentally different categories.

Wild Rules: Santa and the Pies

Fat Santa is the wild that substitutes for every other symbol, and the paytable restricts him to reel 1, while the Christmas Pie and the Wild Christmas Pie substitute for everything except Santa. Because line wins are calculated from the leftmost reel, a Santa occupying that first column automatically begins every line passing through his position with a wild.

The pies do their work further right. They have no prize row of their own, so a pie only earns something by completing a line of real symbols. The Wild Christmas Pie has a second job. Landing anywhere alongside a Santa on reel 1, it triggers the Free Games and their opening 5 free spins.

How 50 Fixed Lines Add Up

The 50 fixed lines add up by simple sum. Each line pays only its highest win, and every winning line on the spin goes into one total. The lines are fixed across 5 reels of 5 rows, and a line pays when matching symbols run on consecutive reels from the leftmost one. Simple enough.

There is no line-bet control. The client takes a total bet and spreads it, so at 0.50 just 0.01 rides on each line.

The client says "the paytable reflects the current bet configuration, based on the bet per line", and the numbers agree. Five elves at 10.00 are 1,000 times the 0.01 line bet, which is 20 times the total. Two lines of three snowmen pay 0.20 each, so 0.40 together. A single line of five elves pays 10.00 and nothing more, because the four and the three inside it don't count again.

12 Bet Levels, One Paytable

The client offers 12 total-bet levels: 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.00, 2.00, 3.00, 5.00, 10.00, 20.00, 30.00, 50.00 and 100.00. The default is 0.50, and the top stake is 400 times the lowest.

Prizes move with the stake. The multiples do not move at all.

Only the 0.50 row was read off the screen. The other rows are our own multiplication, based on the client's statement that the paytable reflects the current bet configuration; we did not reopen the paytable at each individual level.

Where the Paytable Misleads

Read on its own, the paytable misleads in three places, and each makes Fat Santa look simpler than it plays. The first is the 20x top prize, which is a line figure and not a round figure. Our best natural Free Games round paid 20.62 at 0.50, or 41x the bet. A round we bought for 40.00 paid 63.06, or 126x. Neither number appears in the table, because rounds stack many lines and growing wilds on top of each other.

The second is the pies. With no prize row they look like dead symbols. Yet they decide the game, because a Wild Christmas Pie beside Santa on reel 1 is the only natural way into Free Games; the 80x Bonus Buy simply forces the same pairing. In our 96 spins at 0.50 the base game alone handed back 26.66 of the 48.00 staked, about 55.5%. The three rounds made up the rest. The table gives no hint of that split.

The third is the top row itself. It prints 10.00 for five Santas, yet in the base game Santa lands only on reel 1. No screen we read explains how five of him form a line. Planning around that row means planning around a prize with no stated route.

Behind all the rows sits a theoretical return to player of 96.45% in the demo, or 94.15% on the second build the studio lists, with a volatility it calls "Mid - High". Nothing the studio prints says how much of that percentage the base-game rows carry, and 96 spins prove nothing about a long-run return.

There is no scatter symbol, no jackpot, no gamble and no turbo in this client, and the table prints no maximum win. The Sleigh Feature adds locked pie wilds at random, yet extra wilds still need real symbols to pay.

It fired three times in our session, with four, four and three pies. Each time it paid nothing. Zero.

What Else Do Readers Ask?

Paytable questions about Fat Santa tend to be practical: what each symbol pays, what the pies do and whether a bigger bet changes anything. The answers are copied from the demo's PAYTABLE and GAME INFO screens and divided by the stake.

What do five Santas pay on Fat Santa?

Five Fat Santas are listed at 10.00 at a 0.50 bet, 20x the stake, like five elves; in the base game Santa appears on reel 1 alone.

Do Christmas Pies pay anything?

No, the Christmas Pie and the Wild Christmas Pie have no prize row; they stand in for every symbol except Fat Santa to complete a line.

Can Fat Santa land on any reel?

No, Fat Santa lands only on reel 1, where he acts as a wild for every symbol on the lines running through his position.

Are the 50 lines adjustable?

No, all 50 win lines are fixed, and the client offers only a total-bet control across 12 levels, from 0.25 up to 100.00.

Does a line pay for every match on it?

No, each line pays only its highest win, so five elves return 10.00 rather than the five, four and three prizes stacked together.

What is the smallest prize in the paytable?

The smallest prize is 0.08 at a 0.50 bet, for three lime or three green baubles, which works out at 0.16 times the stake.

Do the payouts change with the bet?

Yes, the client says the paytable reflects the current bet, so every prize moves with the stake while the multiples, from 0.16x to 20x, stay put.

How were these payouts recorded?

The payouts were copied from the demo's PAYTABLE and GAME INFO screens on at the default 0.50 bet, then divided by that stake.
